2005 to 2006

Quit the first job of my life.
Holidayed in Kerala, Nainital, Mussoorie, Mumbai, Kanpur...
Learnt how to drive a car, row a boat, make ice cream....
Made some amazing friends.
Buried an old ghost (well, almost) and created a coupla new ones.
Joined a gym and actually exercised!
Started a battle with physical ailments and seem to be conquering them successfully.
Started my masters programme, something I hope to complete in the next year and a half.
Performed a dance in front of people after a long long time (quite a disaster!)
And of course, scored a 780 on my GMAT (achievements are few and far between and hence the extra excitement)

2006 begins with a ten day college trip...3 nights in a train, staying in dormitories, new people...loads of adventure!

Let's see what this year brings.... (Cupid, are u listening?)

Irony and Confetti

First they crib about the meaningless crap that is dished out by the news channels 24*7 in the name of news and then they frantically switch channels to catch the latest on Aamir Khan's wedding!

In spite of the abundant news on the life altering event (atleast in Aamir's and Kiran's), I know very little about what is actually happening. This is primarily because I have spent the past few days sleeping. In the few hours that I was awake yesterday, I attended a friend's wedding. The 8 kilo lehenga, the video cameras covering every single move, the fake continuous smiling and the manhandling of the bride and the groom at the time of jaimala: I detest all of it. Aamir's style of getting married-a court marriage followed by desired days of celebrations- seems better. The amount of money being spent at his functions and the sense in it all is debatable. Yet, it appears much better than the parading I witnessed yesterday!

Best wishes to the two couples for a long and happy married life..
